School, sport, art, mathematical competitions, Soviet army (mechanics - drivers of the tank), student of cathedra of logic of philosophical faculty (1974-79), the post-graduate student (1981-84), non-party, unemployed, assistant St Petersburg University (1986), the senior lecturer, artist, curator, doctor (in 1996 has supports a doctoral thesis on a theme: "Space of the archaic: reflection’s boundaries"), professor of the philosophical faculty of the St.-Petersburg State University (2000).
The participant and curator of the art exhibitions including foreign: Hamburg, Kotka (Finland), Documenta Х (Kassel), Warsaw, San-Paulo (Brazil) etc. Works in a genre of a performance, installation and urban sculpture. The author of an idea and concept of installation the monument “Hare 1” on the Hare’s island in St.-Petersburg dedicate to the 300-year's anniversary of St. Petersburg.
Has more than 100 scientific publications and 45 critical and analytical articles on the Contemporary art.
The central item of a scientific work is the forms of manifestation archaic consciousness, “marginal” philosophical idea, and actual art. He considers a victim as an ontological condition of a culture’s existence; researches unity of an archaic and virtual reality; interprets art performance as conversion of a topos and develops concept topological reflection.
